Pam’s Piano Teaching Approach
“I start by teaching the basics: learning Treble and Bass clef lines and spaces; note values, rests, and playing with dynamics using method books.
As students progress, I add classical, Pop, Jazz, Boogies, Gospel and chords.
I enjoy teaching all ages and levels of ability.” ~Pam Clifford
“Pam is so encouraging! Even when I haven’t practiced as much as I should have, she encourages me to keep at it.”
Pam enjoys teaching adult beginning to advanced piano students as well!

— Tam Luong, Parent of Piano Student
“Pam has taught all four of our children piano and our youngest is still taking lessons. Not only is Pam a competent and talented instructor, but she has passed on the joy of music that will last them a lifetime. Even my adult children still enjoy playing the piano.”
Jennifer Ganchorre, Parent of 4 of Pam’s piano students
FAQs
How old does my child need to be to start?
I like them at least 5 years old and older so they have the attention span to do short piano practice sessions.
Do they need to know how to read?
Reading does help, but is not required. However, it is helpful to know the ABC's.
How long do they need to practice?
That depends on if they are beginners, intermediate or advanced. When beginning, I tell them how may many times to play each page and as they progress, it gets longer.
Do they come to Pam’s house or does Pam go to their house?
Piano lessons are at Pam’s house.
Do they need a piano or keyboard to start?
Yes, students need a convenient way to practice daily.
How much does it cost per month?
